I'm a big BF fan, but didn't buy this one. The demo felt like mostly the same game and I didn't really want to restart the whole 'bug and balance fix' cycle so soon. I did it on principle too. I mean if you buy the game then you support EA doing this type of quick cash-in/makeover. Of course that feels like voting sometimes. Does my vote really mean anything?? :P

I'd rather see a new game every 3 years or so with solid support of the current game until then. Blizzard shows it's possible to release fewer higher quality games, support them alot (for free) and still make alot of money.

Still I'm tempted to pick this up everytime I see a sale.

I felt the same way too but then fell in love with the titan MOD game and have been addicted ever since.

There are many who say that BF2142 to BF2 is like BF:Vietnam to the original BF1942. And I suppose they are right ... they add just enough stuff to make it feel somewhat fresh and interesting, but little enough that you have to be a real fan to pay $50 and not feel ripped off.
