You know, every so often I get a little worried and wonder if my vision of gaming with children is unique to me. Usually after talking to some clueless idiot who doesn't get GamerDad. Anyway, then I read a review like this one. I really like how Mike describes his kid's reactions, including a negative one, showing how we think about games. The key there is not that Mike let a 9 and 10 year old play a T rated game.

It's that he played it with them and talked about it.
