Is it me, or is Sega's standard of quality continuing to slip?

*Sigh*

Nice review, Cary.

Different developers. Hardly ever a good idea for something like this, IMO.

Sometimes different developers can work. Heck, Capcom made some awesome Zelda games for the Game Boy a while back. Traveler's Tales had a lot of good ideas with this game, I just don't think they thought all the way through about what makes a Monkey Ball game fun.

Now Sonic Riders, THAT was a horrible game and it was made in house by Sega! --Cary

I think this was probably done by their B-team. These guys are definitely making much bigger bank on the LEGO Star Wars games and I'm sure their best and brightest are working on those games and not Super Monkey Ball Adventure.

I'm actually really surprised at how good Lego Star Wars is, because - no disrespect to Travellers Tales - most of their games over the years have been mediocre licenses with frustrating difficulty as a cheap way to prolong game length.

I thought Traveler's Tales wasn't working on LEGO Star Wars II (Episodes 4-6)?

Not true - they are doing the console & PC & PSP stuff and Amaze is handling the GBA & DS.

That helps explain it. Still, I've gotta point fingers at the publisher. They having the final say and all that.
