So, there is no auto-mapping feature in the game and you have to keep track of it on separate paper (or just remember?)

It looks like there is at least a minimum of an overhead view (several notches up from the old Wizardry series... :) I remember the pain of trying to resolve that Wizardry level where many of the intersections would spin you in a random direction... ugh... that was a pain to map even though all levels were on a 20x20 grid or something like that...

If you look at the screen - I posted it full size - you see that there is a grid on the bottom with a palette on the right side. As you progress through a level the light blue is added, but you need to define walls and all of the other items as noted.
